The metal anchor for wood and chipboard screws

Description

Details

  • The Fischer metal expansion anchor FMD is particularly suitable for securely fixing gas and water pipes, cable and pipe brackets in concrete, aerated concrete and solid and hollow building materials, as well as in solid gypsum panels
  • The special anchor is used in the pre-positioned installation, hammered directly into aerated concrete without pre-drilling
  • Inserting the screw causes the plug to expand, and the metal teeth fix the anchor securely in the building material
  • The ribbed internal geometry of the FMD makes it possible to guide the screw securely
  • The use of wood and chipboard screws increases the flexibility
  • The external teeth expand in the building material, thus ensuring a high load-bearing capacity.

Top Features

  • High load capacity due to the externally located teeth on the fixing sleeve
  • Direct hammering without pre-drilling into aerated concrete
  • Safe screw guidance due to ribbed internal geometry
  • High flexibility due to using wood and chipboard screws
  • The Fischer metal expansion fixing FMD is set in the pre-positioned installation
  • Inserting the screw causes the fixing to expand, and the metal teeth fix the fixing securely in the building material
  • The fischer metal expansion fixing FMD is particularly suitable for safely fixing gas and water pipes, as well as cable and pipe clamps to solid and hollow building materials as well as in solid gypsum panels.

Advantages

  • The metal expansion anchor FMD is especially suited to applications in installation technology
  • The external teeth expand in the building material, thus ensuring a high load-bearing capacity
  • The ribbed internal geometry of the FMD is suitable for wood and chipboard screws, and makes it possible to guide the screw securely
  • This offers increased installation safety, and enables a broad range of applications.

Functioning

  • The FMD is suitable for pre-positioned installation
  • Inserting the screw causes the FMD to expand, and the metal teeth fix the anchor securely in the building material
  • The required (stud) screw length is given by: Anchor length + plaster and/or insulation layer thickness + fixture thickness or installation spacing + 1 x screw diameter
  • Suitable for wood and chipboard screws
  • The drill diameter is relative to the compressive strength of the building material
  • The higher the compressive strength, the greater the drill diameter
